After entering the workforce, I chose a path that
I believed would bring joy to my beloved mother,
whom I admire deeply.
In order to take over her cherished beauty salon,
I put aside my own desires and walked a life that
I hoped would make her proud and happy.

At one point,
I made the decision not to take over my mother’s salon.
As I began to live a life
that honors my own feelings once again,
I found myself returning to the art
I had loved since childhood.

Something that allows me to be myself,
something through which
I can truly express who I am—
that, to me, is art.

When I create art, I feel truly alive.
Through my artwork,
I want to express the importance of
living as myself and cherishing who I am.
I simply love art!
